Backpacking Nordkalottleden 2026 ~

This year, I hiked a large part of the 850km-long Nordkalottleden – ending at Treriksröset, where Norway, Sweden, and Finland meet.

What an adventure!
What a backdrop!
What a feeling of aliveness!

With this journey, I’ve now hiked around 1,600 km through Sweden and Norway, most of it in northern Sweden.

Out there, life becomes simple: move, breathe, observe, keep going.
Less noise. More presence. More connection to what really matters.

Maybe that is why I keep coming back to the North – it’s like a second home for me.

To feel small in a vast landscape – and somehow more alive because of it.
