Body weight as natural balance
One of my best friends recently asked me what body weight is right for me.
My answer was: I believe that our body weight plays a crucial role in maintaining a sense of balance. It serves as the equilibrium force for our “inner” space, as opposed to the sense of balance we rely on for the “outer” space. I know pretty well when I have 1 kg too much or 1 kg too little body weight without resorting to a weighing scale.
It is a feeling that emanates from within. Maintaining or regulating my body weight has helped me adopt a lifestyle and dietary habits that are more attuned to my instincts rather than strict rules. I firmly believe that the frequency of one’s meals is less important than the quality and nature of the food eaten. It is often quality rather than quantity.
You are what you eat AND digest.
